We’re used to seeing marble in bathrooms or on kitchen countertops, but this gorgeously veined stone can make a big impact in other parts of your home, too. If you don’t want to spend time babying your countertops but still crave a little extra bit of luxury in your home, try one of these five ideas.

I don’t quite know how to describe this detail, but I think it’s a really neat one: a very low marble ledge that runs along one side of a room, and provides an ideal spot for leaning art. (This would also be great for books and magazines.) Definitely unique, definitely eye-catching. Just don’t stub your toe.
