We all experience moments when we wish we had more than one headphone jack, particularly when traveling/hanging out with friends. You and a buddy may want to watch a movie together on your laptop during a flight or listen to the same music from your mp3 player during a bus ride. It's times like these when a headphone splitter comes in handy, allowing multiple people to share the same audio from a single source. Check out some of the unique and inexpensive splitters we've found, after the jump.

  • Music Branches ($10) - Headphone splitters are pretty easy to come by, but not usually ones that split your music three ways. This three way splitter resembles a branch, with each branch leading to plug. It's made to clip onto your keychain so you'll always have it on hand whenever you need it.
  • Belkin RockStar Multi-Headphone Splitter ($19.95) - This headphone splitter has not one, not two, but five ports to share your music. It's hard to imagine when you would actually need to split audio 5 ways—maybe to share tunes with a study group at the library or during a road trip with your buddies. Either way the Belkin RockStar Splitter will have you more than covered for almost any situation.
  • Splitterbot ($7.99) - This little guy is cool and adorable even just as a keychain. Simply pull the bot's head off to reveal a 3.5 mm plug and plug it into an audio source. From there you plug your headphones right into its eye sockets. A cute little key chain that's useful to boot.
  • HiJack Headphone Splitter ($9.99) - Like the Splitterbot and Music Branches, this headphone splitter is made for your keychain. The HiJack seems a bit more durable than the other splitters on our list, with a keyring built right in. Its streamlined design also keeps your keys from being too bulky.
  • Tunes for 2 Headphone Splitter ($16) - With Valentine's Day right around the corner, these headphone splitters are perfect for sharing that special love song with your significant other. While these are a bit bulkier than the other splitter keychains above, it's definitely got the most heart.
