5 Things to Use In Place of A Coffee Table

022310coffeetable-01.jpgWe just put our coffee table up for sale on craigslist. While we’re sad to see it go, our new living room is too small for such a big piece of furniture. But we do like to have a spot for a drink, snack or magazine to land–5 things to use in place of a coffee table, after the jump.

An ottoman Comfy looking and great for resting weary feet, an ottoman can be pulled out to use when hanging in the living room.

A pair of stools We are currently using a pair of bright yellow stools as a coffee table. The setup may change but right now, they’re perfect for our lifestyle.

A pouf (or two) Paired with a tray, an oversized pouf works great for corralling remotes and magazines.

Low lying butler tray table Chic and sturdy, low lying tray tables keep the space open and flowing while still allowing a spot for things to land.

Cubes Cubes, like ottomans tend to be cozy and warm. They come in a variety of colors and are great for offering hidden storage.
