Wedding registries can be both a blessing and a curse. Don't know the couple well? Great, you can purchase exactly what they want for their big day! But wait until the last minute and you're stuck sending locking tongs and custom coasters and hoping, together, they'll make sense.

But thanks to a new crop of retailers, registering for and buying gifts has never been more fun. So put down that scanner and check out these five things you won't believe you can actually put on a wedding registry.

If you want to gift something really cheesy, stick with Domino's. The fast food chain has created "the first registry for couples who prefer melty cheese to crystal gravy boats."

A series of eGift cards to use on Dominos.com will keep the newlyweds well fed. For $60, choose the "Cater the Bachelorette Party" package so your friends can "dance like somebody ordered pizza." Most couples are so busy on their wedding night, they rarely get to enjoy the food, so gift "The Wedding Night" package for $25 "even if they do and just get hungry later," the company says.

But if pizza isn't your thing, you can now get married at Taco Bell in Las Vegas.

Spin classes

If you plan on sweating for the wedding, register for a pack of SoulCycle classes. The indoor cycling studio known for its cult following and celebrity clientele now offers 20- and 30-packs of their addictive 45-minute classes. With locations in New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami and Washington, D.C., this gift travels exceptionally well. If you're looking to tap it back in the privacy of your own home, you can even register for a stationary bicycle in the company's iconic shade of yellow.

Spa services

"Happy wife, happy life," says the old adage. But thanks to Bliss Spa, you can make that "pampered couple, happy life." Register for one month of the Taste of Bliss membership that includes everything from "monthly treatments to exclusive perks." The recipient will receive one blissage60 (a 60-minute massage) to destress or one fabulous facial to clear out pores, 20% off Bliss products and 10% off spa add-on services. Now your newlywed glow can last all month.

Race car driving

If agreeing to spend the rest of your life with another person isn't enough of an adrenaline rush, there's always driving a race car. Register for this exhilarating experience and you'll suit up in an authentic racing suit and helmet, climb into a Sprint Cub style stock car and put the pedal to the metal as you burn rubber on the 2.5-mile track at Pocono Raceway.

Other people's homes

Your next adventure could be waiting in your inbox. Register for Airbnb gift cards and your guests can help you explore the world, country or even your city. Plan a staycation in a hip neighborhood you've been meaning to explore. Or give your soon-to-be in-laws your apartment for their weekend visit while you and your betrothed shack up nearby.

What's the most unusual thing you've ever purchased from a wedding registry?
