Before and After: A $535 Nursery

Before and After: A $535 Nursery

The room needed to be closed off from the living area, windows cut out of the drywall, and flooring put down. Kelly also wanted to keep the wall colors neutral so they wouldn't have to do a lot of painting over when they sell in a few years, but she also wanted a vibrant, colorful room. She accomplished just that with the wall stripes and lots of colorful accents including the blue Mammut crib and shelves from IKEA, paper pom poms, and curtains. Check out the results below the jump.

And here it is complete with a fresh take on the modern tree in the nursery. Yup, it's those super cheap embroidery hoops creating a focal point for just four bucks. But this is only one of the neat projects you'll find in a room that started with just concrete floors and no windows.

You can find all the details on the before and after for this nursery at DIY My Home, and you can find the details for the embroidery hoop tree right here. Great job Kelly!
