Creating a tranquil home office can be a bit of a challenge. Most associate home office with home work, so "tranquil" is usually the last word that comes to mind. Choosing certain textures, colors and materials can play a huge roll in just how relaxing your office will be. Maybe when your next remodel comes up, think bamboo and glass.

Creating a home office space that makes you feel comfortable is key. You want to make sure that you set everything up in a way that is easy and doesn't get in your way. This simple, clutter free desk ensures everything has its place and there are no cords in sight, mixing and matching sleeker surfaces with natural elements.

The clear glass table, bamboo placemat (available at Amazon or Buy.com) and an actual bamboo plant make the space feel so tranquil and a place we could get a lot of work done in. The serene colors and textures provide the perfect backdrop for the Apple iMac and Macbook Pro in their signature aluminum finish. The Apple Wireless Keyboard looks so great on the bamboo mat, which provides a textured surface for when the keyboard is being used. There's not much we don't love about this office and it's an easy setup to emulate, especially since there are plenty of other bamboo home office accessories to further complement.
