Because we live in a busy city I wanted my daughter's nursery to be calming. I also wanted the room to be fun and educational because she's a very active and engaged baby. I chose neutral colors with an animal theme to keep the environment serene but playful.
We have animals prints, and stuffed animal heads on the walls. I wanted a daybed in the room in case either my husband or I needed to sleep with her on a sick night. It's also nice for lounging and cuddling up with our little boo.
I chose Benjamin Moore's "Parchment" for the walls because it is neutral with a hint of peach. I picked several prints from the Animal Print Shop which go beautifully with a neutral nursery but are also very sweet. The stuffed animal heads were pieces my husband had in Germany while he was raising Henri's older sister. He also made the changing table and daybed frame. The print above the daybed is an old "Henry J" advertisement. We found this on eBay and thought it was a sweet addition because we named our daughter Henrietta J. The collage above the dresser was made by a friend.
