We know that many AT-ers were fans of Carrie's old apartment - we heard that it got a big makeover in the film via the Chicago Tribune, which was on the SATC bandwagon this week. In a quick interview with Lydia Marks, set decorator for the movie, they found out the reasons for, places to buy and prices of a few of the details of Carrie's new apartment...along with the scoop on the exact paint color...

In the "Screen Grabs" piece, Ms. Marks explains that they felt that Carrie needed to grow up a little - "she wasn't going to sit on the floor at her coffee table anymore" - hence the furniture upgrade and new color.

The wall color? Benjamin Moore "Electric Blue". It's number 2061-40 and is $45/gallon.

Carrie's mirrored coffee table is vintage and was found at ABC Carpet and Home for $1900.

And, to accommodate the size of her faux NYC apartment, the design team didn't want to go with an oversized sofa, so they did custom settees that were a more appropriate, smaller scale. The pieces were upholstered in Amanda Lee Linen, sold at the Silk Trading Co. for $110/yard.

Anyone see the movie this weekend? How was it?
