We’ve seen boho style taking over living rooms, patios, and even our bedrooms. So why not add a little bohemian chic to our bathrooms too?

The good news is that boho style—with its emphasis on textured textiles, organic materials and shapes, rich tones, and a “more is more” vibe—can be a really budget-friendly way to spruce up your bathroom without dishing out cash for renovations. You can create a boho look with (lots of) accessories—and, of course, a healthy dose of creativity. For inspiration, take a look at these boho bathrooms below.

1. Mellow out with a peaceful retreat.

Don’t skimp on accessories! From the crystals and candles to hanging bird cages and bamboo curtains, this bathroom epitomizes a chill sanctuary.

2. Mix and match textiles.

Choose a range of  textile textures (and continue the theme throughout your house for a cohesive look), like this couple did in their bathroom of their 250 sq. ft RV home.

3. Create a tile accent wall.

The mosaic tile in the shower is super eye-catching, but take a look to the right and you’ll see that the homeowner added a second tile shape halfway up that wall, giving more texture to the room.

4. Stack boho accessories.

Wall-mounted shelves are a great way to display bath towels, candles, and plants. The renters of this Los Angeles home upped the boho factor by adding a fun fringed shower curtain to the mix.

5. Lay down mosaic tile flooring.

Yes or no?  Uh, yes! We’re obsessed with the floor tile in this eco-friendly Victorian home, which adds a strong statement to an otherwise understated space.

6. Add vintage flare.

Lucia and Jose incorporated vintage art in their renovated Spanish home. A few rich-toned, nature-centric paintings or drawings are an easy way to start going boho;  you can take it a step further and furnish your bathroom with antiques like this European claw foot tub.

7. Pile on the plants.

Is it even possible to call it bohemian style without the presence of plants? The greenery of this bathroom is the perfect example of a key attribute of many boho rooms: plants galore. And in the bathroom, plants not only add aesthetic appeal, but can have other benefits. For example, hanging a eucalyptus can turn a regular shower into a spa-like experience. So when you’re going boho, think green.

8. Paper the walls.

If you don’t have a green thumb, fake it ‘till you make it. Wallpaper is always a go-to when you want natural accents without the extra maintenance. The plant design wallpaper and gold finishes in this bathroom pair nicely with each other.

9. Get vibrant with colors.

Go bold or go home! Colors play a huge part in bohemian style. Playing around with monochromatic, color-blocking, and or color pairing can help you achieve a boho look like this bathroom’s. Start off with your favorite hues, and take it up a notch by incorporating patterns to compliment.

10. Add a statement piece of furniture.

Hear us out: A statement chair in your bathroom may seem unusual, but we’ve seen furniture like this all over bohemian-inspired bathrooms, including this home in Australia. The texture and color of this papasan chair adds interest to an all-white space.
