A Great Way to Travel With Your Electronic Gear

When you are traveling, it gets hard to track all of your electronic gear. It doesn't take long for people to just throw them all in a bag and forget about them. That makes retrieving them almost impossible, unless you completely unpack. Richard has come up with a great way to travel with your cables and gizmos, that doesn't require shelling out a lot of money.

Richard was searching for a way to organize his electronic gear while he was traveling. He couldn't find one that suited his needs, so he made one himself. He bought a laptop sleeve that was the same size as his laptop. He used a leather Booq sleeve. This meant that it would fit easily in his laptop bag without taking up too much space. He used elastic bands, Velcro, and a $2 zipper pencil case from Target to hold his gear. The pencil case is for the small stuff and apparently it works really well.

Richard stitched on the elastic bands, Velcro and the elastic cord using a leather sewing tool. If you have a sewing machine that can handle the thickness of the leather, you can use that too. The end result would be prettier. He also uses some Velcro to hold cords together while he is traveling. That way they stay together. The Velcro strips are reusable and work great. We think that this is a great idea to keep your cables, chargers and smaller gadgets in order while you travel. Instead of being all over the place, they are in one place. This makes them easy to find and use. No more fumbling around or swearing because your forgot your cell phone charger.
