You can always count on Martha Stewart to showcase a space so well organized, so beautifully presented, you feel like you've been living in complete chaos this whole time. We were going back through old issues of Martha Stewart Living when we rediscovered this classic example of Martha: functional, highly organized, with sufficient storage for anything/everything, all aesthetically presented. And if you take a close look, much of the home office furnishings for this office for two reveals easy-to-source pieces from IKEA and West Elm...

A functional backdrop crafted from alternating panels of bulletin and magnetic board is covered in unifying swaths of aqua linen. The vivid fabric conceals the different materials and stands out from the room's graphic black-and-white color scheme. Magnetic hooks, caddies, and tins provide hanging storage for small items.

Other features worth noting is the rolling cart storage, the shallow depth West Elm Parsons desk, and the linen covered bulletin board, which offers a bright splash of colour without a drop of paint (easily made using a bulletin board, some fabric, and a staple gun).

Whether it's framed artwork, pieces gathered from travels, or maybe even a collection of toy robots, consider decorating overhead, ontop of the shelves as shown above; designated overhead space for decorative items keeps the workspace cluttered, but puts a stamp on the space uniquely your own.
