A Monochromatic Home Theater

I did the online equivalent of a double take when I saw this small space home theater setup over at A/V enthusiast site, Min Hembio. It looked strikingly like a desaturated upgraded version of my past small space setup from over 5 years ago, with a similar ceiling mounted projection system and from-the-ceiling screen, covering a flat screen display...

Of course everything in weeklund's new apartment is newer, sleeker, with specs that put my old home entertainment system to shame (his screen is motorized, mine I had to pull down by drawstring like a classroom teacher using an overhead projector in math class). But all the same ideas and layout are being utilized in his compact space, sans the bright colors of my past apartment. It's somehow satisfying seeing the same setup being executed by another generation of home theater enthusiasts.

You'll definitely want to check out the complete gallery of his apartment over at Min Hembio, as the rest of the space is decorated with a carefully chosen selection of all-white, black, and metallic finishes which reflect an enviable technophilic lifestyle.
