A Test Tube of Inspiration: The Offices of Selgas Cano Architects

One word comes to mind upon looking at the offices of Selgas Cano Architects Madrid offices: awe. A long fuselage shaped structure with a inside=white, outside=yellow and green motif, the office space is both tastefully modern while giving a clear and immersive sensation of being surrounded by nature thanks to the expansive wall-to-ceiling windows and the inset floor level (love the fallen leaves settled upon the curved glass view). The floating workstation tabletops and clear wall mounted shelving flowing across the wall keep clutter to a minimum, yet the mood of the structure is not intrusive...rather, a submersion into the greatest of inspirations: nature.

The other feature we like is how Selgas Cano Architects were able to balance the needs of shading monitor glare with the exceptional view outside. The canopy of the trees and sloped roof work in conjunction, something often difficult to balance in a space with a large windows.
