Add Extra Safety To Your Bekvam Stool

IKEA's Bekvam stool is a favorite in many family households. It's sturdy and can be used to grasp things out of reach or even as an art station. That said, it would be nice if it had a little added safety for young kids. Check out this simple, praiseworthy safety hack:

In this home, the sink is freestanding instead of mounted in a cabinet. Helping little ones brush their teeth or hair can be a bit of a challenge so this family added a wooden bar to the top to help their kids steady themselves.

It's a great idea, even if you don't have the same style sink. We can even see it being used as a handle to move the stool and possibly attaching screws to the back side of the back legs so it can be tipped and rolled from place to play.
