Airstream’s classic silver bullet trailer has a new cousin—the smaller, lighter Basecamp. It comes with a tiny kitchen outfitted with mini fridge, microwave, sink, and stove, a teeny bathroom with toilet and shower, and sleeps two in the convertible sitting/dining area.

Heating and AC are also standard, as is a built-in, lockable technology dock with USB ports, a solar kit and Bose bluetooth speaker. (h/t Co.Design)

Philippe Starck designed a smart radiator
Starck lent his design skills to smart home company Netatmo‘s newest energy saver, a radiator valve. The gadget pairs with the brand’s smart thermostat and works with Apple Home to bring the classic heating system into the 21st century. While it’s compatible with 90% of European radiators, there’s no option for American or other international versions just yet.

Zaha’s sculptural jewels
The late Zaha Hadid designed a collection of jewelry for Georg Jensen that highlights her signature undulating forms. The eight-piece capsule includes three bangles and five rings, each in sterling silver, 18 kt. gold, and black rhodium plated sterling silver with black diamonds.

The latest addition to the luggage wars
The luggage industry is awash in new, design-centric, smart bag brands. The latest is Arlo Skye, and no, it’s not a Brooklyn baby announcement. Founded by Louis Vuitton and Tumi alums, their carry-on comes with stuff like a portable, removable charger, one touch open/close, compression packing panels, and even a set of illustrated notecards. The bag is available for pre-order and ships next month.
