Name: Akira (5 months)
Location: Bali, Indonesia
Favorite Family-Friendly Place To See or Thing To Do Here: Going to the Beach! There are many beaches in Bali, but Geger Beach in Nusa Dua is the best for children. The sand is white, the water is calm and smooth and there aren't many people so it's very peaceful.
Best Tip for Traveling with Kids: Always be prepared. Bathrooms and food are very different here. For most adults, this isn't a problem but it may be a little harder for children to adjust to.
Favorite Way to Make it Feel Like Home: Bring food they are familiar with, as the food in Indonesia is quite different and some dishes are too spicy for children to eat.
An Item you MUST Take With You While Traveling: A light weight jacket or raincoat. It's winter season now in Australia so Bali gets strong gusts of rain and sporadic rain, even with the sun shining bright.
People call follow my adventures in Bali on my blog: Absolut Anna, From Bali With Love and see many shots of Bali and Indonesia in my Flickr. If anyone has any questions about Bali or Indonesia as a whole, I'd love to help!
