A favorite among gardeners and designers, the fiddle leaf fig tree can be a costly investment. But thanks to Aldi—which has had great plant deals in the past—the popular houseplant can be yours for $13.

Known for weekly seasonal items sold at affordable prices, Aldi is currently selling the sought-after indoor plant at their various locations. It comes in a 10-inch textured plastic pot, which is available in white and brown.

If you’re looking for a houseplant that will make a statement, the fiddle leaf fig is a good choice (even Meghan Markle thinks so!). But before you take one home, it’s important to know how to take care of it.

Make sure it gets lots of indirect light, so leave it near a window with a sheer curtain to filter the sun’s rays. Also, it enjoys humidity and warmth; place it away from chilly windows and air vents, especially during winter. Having a humidifier can help too!

As for soil, it should be fast-draining and evenly moist for your fiddle leaf fig to prevent it from sitting in water (overwatering is fairly common). You can also trim any dead or damaged leaves to keep it looking and feeling healthy.

If all goes well, you’ll have a stunning fig that can grow up to 10 feet indoors, and up to 40 feet tall out in your yard. You can call your nearest Aldi store first to check for availability, as stocks are quick to be sold out. Happy fiddle leaf fig tree hunting!
