Alienware Surprises with a Clean, Industrial Look

We've never been a fan of PC-maker Alienware's logo -- hello, X-Files! -- or their equally extraterrestrial design aesthetic, but this new laptop mixes in just enough retro futurism style to look cool, back here on planet earth.

The Alienware M11x is a sub $1K gaming laptop that runs Windows 7 and features three USB ports, HDMI hook-ups, and an SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro card reader.

Those cool red light details shown in the photos above, well, those can change hues via a control board in the system settings. You can choose a separate color for each of the five zones, including the keyboard and touchpad.

We're really digging the laptop's case design. There's something very Blade Runner about it's shape. Plus the font and layout of the keyboard is pretty interesting. While we can go on and on about this PC's unique design, CrunchGear has a full review of the important stuff, like performance.
