While many summer camps are put on hold this year, people are finding alternative ways to entertain their children (and themselves) at home. DIY projects are a go-to, and Amazon is offering virtual crafting workshops for all levels to take advantage of this summer.

Camp Handmade is a virtual four-week event filled with online crafting workshops. Amazon Handmade, the company’s handcrafted goods marketplace, is the source behind the program, highlighting four of its makers to lead classes that range from candle-making to needle felting.

The program’s kickoff includes four crafts that have step-by-step tutorials. The first is DIY flowering painting with Rebeca Flott Arts based in Denver, Colorado. Taught by Flott, the virtual workshop teaches you how to use basic paints to create a floral masterpiece on a blank canvas.

Next is a DIY candle-making class by Banter & Bliss Candle Co. Based in San Pedro, California, the candle company shows you how to create your own candle—from melting the wax the right way to infusing fragrances into the mix and jarring the product yourself.

If you’ve ever had a yearning to pick up needle felting, there’s a simple tutorial to creating your very own needly felt hedgehog (!). The class is taught by Megan Benson of Sheep Farm Felt in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, and focuses on using natural materials for the project.

Finally, there’s a DIY floral salt soak workshop from LIVE BY BEING, a wellness brand based in Houston, Texas. Founder Kennedy Lowery will walk you through all the mixing steps to make your own self-care product to use at home.

The tutorials for all the crafting workshop are free, and you can purchase all the supplies needed for each class underneath the videos. With all the required items and an easy step-by-step tutorial, this should be a fairly stress-free process—no matter how many family members want to join.
