As reductive as those “there are two kinds of people” memes can be, there is also always one version we secretly believe is actually true. I am, for example, completely convinced there are two kinds o f makeup owners: those who are happy to have a small collection of just the essentials. Then there is the other kind: the person who sees makeup not as a finite list of products but an endless and ever-growing hoard. (As you may have already guessed, I fall in the latter category.)

For me, the question of how to organize all my beauty products is a continual one. Regular make-up organizers, while often very pretty, just don’t hold enough products to make sense to invest in. And Instagram influencer-worthy lucite drawers are both expensive and often restrictive in how much you can actually stuff inside.

Which is why this makeup organizer from Mofir is so great: the adjustable shelves mean you can find a way to accommodate even the most irregular compacts and mascaras in a surprisingly high-capacity storage unit. The secret is that it has both 360 degree rotation and customizable vertical storage shelves. One corner is even open, which is great for stashing brushes or even extra-tall bottles. The open storage also makes it easy to access more products at once, keeping a favorite blush from getting buried and forgotten in drawers.

It also happens to be very much on sale on Amazon currently.

And while this is more functional than some other makeup organizers we’ve loved in the past, the all-white plastic material keeps it from being to industrial. It’s also easy to disassemble and clean as needed as various powders and liquids inevitably start covering it up. The only drawback is that the round shape makes it hard to store even smaller palettes (that said, makeup organizers with drawers are often too narrow to hold palettes).

There may never be a perfect solution for those of us with massive makeup collections, but until then, this MOFIR might be the most budget-friendly, accommodating option I’ve seen.
