When it comes to online shopping, it’s hard to beat the ease of Amazon. If you’re already stocking up on toilet paper or grabbing some new headphones, it’s all too tempting to add a few things to your cart—especially when there’s free two-day shipping. Other retailers are starting to get it, and instead of trying to beat the megasite, are actually joining it. Pier 1 is the latest, and now you can shop a selection of their globally sourced wares, right from the the app or homepage.
Last week, classic American clothier J.Crew launched on Amazon, and this week, it’s Pier 1. The company has been in the midst of a three-year rebranding, per Real Simple, resulting in its new campaign, “This is me,” which is all over its Amazon storefront.
“Your home is a reflection of you,” it reads. “You are not one note. … You are a mixture. A hodgepodge. A curious combination. …You are not cookie cutter. … And your home shouldn’t be either.”
