At Apartment Therapy and Kitchn, we mostly talk about home and food, but one company Slack channel is packed with staffers discussing the best serums and latest lip hues. I asked them what they’re buying during Prime Day, and this is what they recommend.

For beauty fans on a budget, Amazon is offering up to 30% off select luxury beauty brands during Prime Day, including makeup, skincare, hair products and tools, as well as fragrance. There’s a lot to choose from, and the drawback of not being in a store makes it hard to try before you buy. Thankfully, my coworkers have done some of the legwork for you; here’s what AT Media staffers are adding to their carts.

I have a friend who’s a Zoya evangelist, and I’ve been meaning to try their clean beauty (they’re free of ten common harmful chemicals) nail products. This kit comes with a base, perfector, and topcoat, as well as hand serum and cream.
