Vacuums are one of those appliances that can invoke a lot of passion. And few brands invoke quite as much passion as Dyson. The company’s powerful, ergonomic vacuums have legions of devoted fans who credit their clean floors back to them. But to get one, you usually have to shell out upwards of $500 for a new model. Well for today only, you can score this refurbished one on Amazon for $274.99.

The model on sale is a certified refurbished vacuum from the manufacturer. That means it was inspected and cleaned by Dyson, not a third party. Additionally, it comes with all the original parts. Because it is refurbished, it is also covered by two warranties: A 90-day warranty through Amazon if the product doesn’t work like new, and a 6-month warranty through Dyson to cover manufacturer defects. The ball on the base of the corded, upright Dyson allows you to navigate into hard-to-reach places. The self-adjusting head has the ability to clean both hardwood floors and carpets. Plus, the wand can be released for smaller jobs, windows, or other things the upright cleaning head can’t reach. It even solves another common problem of cleaning the filter: a mess-free, one-touch button allows you to empty it directly into the trash.

While it’s bulkier than the sleek stick models, it is great for deep cleans or houses that require a more heavy-duty vacuum (think: homes with pets). And, of course, the upside of having a corded vacuum means you never have to worry about recharging. New models typically cost around $400-$500 dollars, but this certified refurbished model is on sale today only for $274.99.
