The feeling that we get when a package we’ve been waiting all week for finally arrives is truly magical. However, there is an opposite feeling to that. Imagine expecting a package, be it a gift to yourself or a gift for a loved one, but it is delivered when you’re not home and you won’t be home for hours. When you finally do get home, you realize it had been raining all day, and your package was left out in the storm. Or maybe it was swiped by a package thief. That can completely ruin your day.

Now, Amazon is launching a new ordering opportunity, Amazon Day, that means your Amazon package can come at a time that works best for you. If you make multiple orders on Amazon a week, instead of receiving five boxes for fives day, you can consolidate your orders and get all five orders on just one day.

The Amazon Day description reads:

Predictable

Rest easy knowing your packages will arrive the same day each week.

All on one day

With all of your items arriving on the same day, we will combine your orders when possible.

Convenient

Keep adding items throughout the week and we’ll deliver everything on your Amazon Day.

Signing up for Amazon Day is simple. Once you put items in your cart, you can look for the Amazon Day option at checkout. Once you pick that option, you can then select the day of the week that works best for you. After that, your items will all arrive on your selected Amazon Day.

This option from Amazon will also help cut down on the company’s carbon footprint. The new delivery option is part of Amazon’s large initiative to focus on Shipment Zero. The company plans to make 50% of all Amazon shipments net zero carbon by 2030.

Maria Renz, vice president, Delivery Experience at Amazon, said in a statement:

“Amazon Day adds another level of convenience to the many shipping benefits Prime members already enjoy. Prime members can now choose to get their orders delivered together in fewer boxes whenever possible on the day that works best for them.”

Some FAQ about Amazon have been answered by the company before Amazon Day launches on the site. If you select this option once, all of your future orders will not default to this option. In order to use this delivery service, you will need to select Amazon Day at checkout. As for what items are eligible for Amazon Day shipping, that will be most items that are regularly available for Prime FREE Two-Day Shipping. You can still add items to your Amazon Day delivery up to two days before the selected date. This is only eligible for Amazon Prime users.
