Amazon keeps looking for ways to cut shipping costs and times. Their latest solution comes via an app they're developing that will pay regular people to deliver your packages.

Internally called On My Way, the app will crowdsource package delivery by renting storage space from area businesses, and enlisting people to walk, bike, or drive your package to your door. No word as to who is responsible if the package is missing or damaged, though.

In the past, Amazon has tried many ways to cut shipping costs and reduce delivery times, including drones, using their own trucks, testing one-hour delivery, and contracting USPS for Sunday drop offs.
