Designer Amber Lewis of Amber Interiors just added another exclusive product collaboration to her résumé, and it’s her most ambitious yet: a collection of over 100 items strong with Four Hands, an Austin-based brand that specializes in to-the-trade furniture design and wholesale. The pieces will be available for order starting today at Shoppe Amber Interiors, Lewis’ online and brick-and-mortar stores, as well as to designers directly on Four Hands’ website.

Lewis has reached an almost cultlike status in the design world for her effortless, California-cool aesthetic. And fans of that signature look won’t be disappointed with what they see from this assortment, which, on the whole, features a warm palette, earthy textures, and plenty of bespoke detailing, including exposed joinery, bun feet, reeding, and molding. That said, Lewis is definitely expanding her purview a bit with this range, leaning into an English Country feel alongside traces of Scandinavian, Italian, and Old Spanish styles. You’ll find pieces across pretty much every major category of furnishings, including dining, upholstery, outdoor, and decorative accessories. And the materials? Think handsome, tactile touches that all play well together, from hammered rod iron and solid oak and pine to distressed terracotta and bouclé.

The collection presents a perfect harmony between Amber’s visions and Four Hands’ approach to thoughtfully constructed design,” says Adam Dunn, vice president of design at Four Hands, in a press release about the launch. “In designing true investment pieces that are influenced by a variety of design eras, we aim to help homeowners and designers seamlessly mix styles to create unique spaces that feel like home.”

While the case goods and sofas/seating stand out as highlights in the collaboration, I’d be remiss to not mention the art offerings as well. One aspect of Four Hands’ business specializes in hand-finished, museum-quality reproduction prints made in partnership with independent artists out of the brand’s Texas studio, and the Amber collection features work by artists selected by Lewis herself, including her mother, Lori Marie, a mixed media painter. This makes this range feel personal and special, as does that fact that Lewis has sourced form Four Hands for her own projects for years.

“It’s been an incredible journey working with Four Hands to bring my dream collection to life,” says Lewis, in the launch press release. “The creation process was like catching lightning in a bottle, and Adam immediately understood my aesthetic and how to execute our shared vision.”

Prices for pieces start at $179 and top out just under $10,000 for a very large dining banquette. The idea is for these items to become modern heirlooms, so they’re built to last and meant to patina nicely over time.
