An Anthropologie Inspired DIY Ghost Lamp

Oh, the Anthropologie catalog! We all fawn over the immaculate styling and eclectic pieces for the home...that is often until we read the price. Thankfully, there are some rather resourceful people out there in the blogosphere that are blazing the path with do-it-yourself projects that would make any Anthro lover proud.

Holly of Life in the Fun Lane found some ratty old french lamp shades at the thrift store and decided to give them a second life. She removed the lamp shade and added a pendant lamp kit (that she spray painted black) to the skeleton. Then, to give it an authentic look, she wrapped the lamp cord in twine...a lot of twine. For 5 hours of work and $47, Holly created two vintage inspired lamps that could easily sell for $100+ each elsewhere.
