An Imagined Life: Ol' Recycling Bins

Mar 6, 2008

All used items come with a story to tell. We only need to lean in and listen.

Hey, hey, well, look who it is! I told these fellas that you'd come by today, that you wouldn't miss another weekend. These two coots didn't believe me because they're just a couple of ol' codgers. But I knew better; I knew you'd come by today. And you brought presents?! Well, I'll be! Your mama couldn't have raised you any better, could she?

Why don't you sit down and stay awhile...

Oh? You can't stay long. Oh, sure, I understand. You're busy, I know. You've got a whole big ol' life to get back to.

No, no, you go. It's fine. I'm just glad you came by. It's really good to see you. You're a good kid, you know. A lot of people wouldn't bother to pack up the car on their weekend off, to come out here to visit us.'s good to see you...I know I just said that but I mean it. Now, get outta' here - go make me proud. But, just so you know, you can come back anytime.
