When I was a kid, I painted, glued, and assembled a Visible Man anatomy model, which remained on display in my room for years. My son isn't quite old enough for x-acto knives and plastic cement, so in the mean time I've been searching for friendlier alternatives. Check out this great collection of anatomical puzzles we found over at the Evolution store.
If I were truly honest with myself the Visible Man model wasn't all that fantastic. I remember being frustrated by the complicated instructions and the fact that you needed to sand down a lot of the parts to make it fit together. But these anatomical models/puzzles from the Evolution store are pre-painted and can be easily assembled and dissected over and over again. Plus, don't you think a collection of these would look amazing on display in a kid's room?
