Angles in a Small Apartment

Angles in a Small Apartment

In this small Paris apartment, a few angles that could be awkward actually prove to be a saving grace. Check it out:

An angled countertop in the kitchen provides a place to sit and eat. Without angling the way it does, the counter would not have space to seat two and it would pinch the entry to the kitchen. But a little tweaking of its shape off of square allows seating space and room to flow into the kitchen.

Likewise, an angled work surface in one of the bedrooms allows space to enter the room without stumbling straight into the desk. Angled shelves in the other bedroom squeeze into an already-angled wall, providing a little storage space where some may have overlooked the opportunity.

Finally, I love that there are two bedrooms in this small home. They're just big enough to accommodate a bed and a few simple pieces, which is exactly how I think a bedroom should be!
