Animal Sleep Stories

The work of Finnish-born artist and screen-printer Daria Tessler is a little magical and mysterious and feels like it hails from the pages of a wonderfully weird vintage children's book - just the kind of wall art for design-minded parents and imaginative kids.

Screen printed by hand on 100% recycled heavy paper, Tessler's whimsical and detailed work is a mixture of mechanical fantasy and natural world nostalgia, done in a style and color palette that's reminiscent of children's illustrations from the 60's or 70's. In addition to art prints, Tessler makes stationary, cool mini books for kids, and just last month put together a pretty amazing coloring book. Lots of her work can be snagged for as little as 20 bucks.

Check out her stuff on Etsy, as well as loads more of her art on her website Animal Sleep Stories.
