Anja's Owl-Inspired Nest

Anja's Owl-Inspired Nest

Name: Anja (6 months)
Location: Burlington, MA

This room is not large and doesn't get a lot of light; it is also a part-time guest room. Thus, it needed to be functional and cheery without feeling too crowded. I also tried to make it feminine but not excessively so.

The room will change as Anja grows; eventually, we will replace the crib and changing table with a desk. The bed is low to the ground and will function well as a "big girl" bed (and also doesn't overwhelm the space, despite being a double), while also being comfortable for guests. The nursery was inspired by owl bedding from Target (Circo Love n Nature). We chose a pale, creamy yellow for the walls to make it easy to redecorate when Anja gets older and wants to change her bedding, curtains, art, etc.
