I love a good holiday catalog. They always come in the mail at just about the time that I start wanting to feel festive. My favorite this season so far has been from Annie Selke, and while she’s known for her gorgeous rugs and bed linens, I have to say the giftables in her catalog are truly on point for 2020, particularly for pets and the pet people in your life.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t remember the selection being so whimsical-meets-practical (or varied) in the past. Either way, here’s what I’m thinking about buying for some of the people I’m shopping for this season. If you’re contemplating a new rug or set of sheets from Selke, you might want to add some of these gifts to your cart, too, so you can check something else off of your miles-long holiday to-do list.

Rose Palette Taper Candles

Colorful tapers can make old candlestick look new again. Selke’s selling bundles based on color, and these pink ones make me smile. If your bestie’s more of a cool blues person though, they stock those and the rest of the rainbow, too.

Van Life Book

Your brother has seen all of AT’s van tours, so the next step is obviously owning this #vanlife coffee table book. Maybe he’ll finally be inspired to take the #vanlife plunge in 2021 and will gift it back to you when downsizing his belongings.

Buy: Van Life: Your Home On the Road, $25.00

Downward Dog Yoga Mat

For the canine—and yoga—lover in your life comes a mat that speaks to both passions. This cushy design literally has dogs doing downward dogs on it and even comes with a matching carrying strap. I can’t help but smile when I see it, and I think you might know someone that will have the same reaction.

Seed Bead Hoop Earrings

Jewelry can be tough to gift, but if you know that someone on your list tends to wear hoop earrings, then this bold, seed bead pair will be a hit. They’re reminiscent of the seed bead necklaces and bracelets you might have made in summer camp but certainly look more polished in these three monochromatic colorways: lapis, hot pink, and turquoise. They’re also a nice size and a great price, coming in at just $30.

Corgi Doorstop

At roughly a foot high, these cushy pooch pillows come with weighted bases so you can use them standing upright to prop open interior and exterior doors. Of course, they also make cute accent cushions on a bed or sofa. Choose from a variety of breeds, and cats are available, too.

Buy: Corgi Doorstop, $18.00

Terrazzo Pajamas

If you like sleeping on Selke’s cotton percale sheets, then you’re going to love her cozy PJs made out of the same material. They’re a bit of a splurge but make a great group gift for the mom or mother figure in your life.

Buy: Terrazzo Pajamas, $132.00

Dogior Bark Tote Toy

Fancy pups will appreciate having their very own “Dogior” bag toy to chew on—and, hopefully, that means your purse or tote won’t be nearly as appealing. Complete with a squeaker inside, this plush piece is bound to become a fast favorite.

The Wes Anderson Collection: The Grand Budapest Hotel Book

If someone—anyone!—in your life appreciates Wes Anderson’s movies as much as I do, this behind-the-scenes book on “The Grand Budapest Hotel” is a no-brainer. It would also make a good White Elephant gift.
