August is winding down (how??), which means that the nights are getting cooler, the back to school ads are everywhere—and the fall collections are launching. I don’t know about you, but the shift from August to September is one of my favorites, signaling the season of light jackets, cozy scents, and a return to the home after months of activity. It’s a time to slow down, take a rest, and find some balance.

It seems that Anthropologie feels the same way. Their 2019 fall home collection is here, and the underlying theme is definitely self care as design. With an emphasis on nature-inspired aesthetics and a minimalist sensibility, this collection is much more pared back than what we’re used to from the typically bold retailer. You won’t find too many bright colors and vibrant patterns here, but rather, calming earth tones and soft textures. Everything feels thoughtfully designed to promote comfort, warmth, and a sense of sanctuary. And best of all, a lot of it is 20 percent off thanks to Anthro’s Decorating Event.

We rounded up some of our favorite new arrivals below. Be sure to browse the entire collection here, and get ready to once again celebrate the home as a haven.

Textured Bardot Quilt

If you want your bed to look and feel like an actual cloud, this is the quilt for you. With its subtle floral motif and textured feel, the Bardot quilt perfectly combines comfort and style. Choose the turquoise color if you want the stitching to really stand out, or the light gray for a different yet still neutral look. Shams sold separately.

Imogen Monogram Hook

Why hang a boring hook on your wall when you could have a monogrammed ceramic hook like this one? Use one (or several) in your entryway to store coats or purses, in your bathroom to hang towels, or in your bedroom to place anything from jewelry to scarves.

Lucas Rattan Accent Lamp

Rattan is making a huge comeback, and we’re not mad about it at all. Organic and casual, it’s a great style choice if you’re trying to add some warmth to your space. This accent lamp is totally eye-catching, and makes for a solid addition to a side table or console. The white option is slightly larger than the mint and costs $128.

Sunday Sofa

Anthropologie’s very first down-filled sofa has a low profile, deep seat, and laid-back aesthetic that will make you want to stay in more. Each piece is made to order in North Carolina, and is completely customizable—there are 25 colors and three fabrics to choose from. And if you want to amp up the cozy, this style is also available as a sectional.

Fringe Bay Throw Blanket

Texture, tassels, and fringe? Color me cozy. This blanket is perfect for layering over a sofa or bed and cozying up with all winter long. As someone who lives under a blanket throughout the months of October-March, I feel like this blanket checks all the boxes.

Capri Blue Pumpkin Clove Candle

Yeah, summer’s almost over, but that just means that fall scented candles are back. Anthro’s popular Pumpkin Clove candle is officially back in stock, and I couldn’t be happier. Created by the same people who gave us the Volcano candle, Pumpkin Clove combines pumpkin and a touch of orange zest with a vanilla and cinnamon base. It’s also available in the less expensive mini version and tin can—and if you don’t like pumpkin, Spiced Cider is also back in business.

Buy: Capri Blue Pumpkin Clove Candle, $30

Embellished Carter Shower Curtain

Don’t forget to bring the cozy vibes to your bathroom as well. This shower curtain features a classic striped pattern with very whimsical, very Anthro tiny bow embellishments. Made of cotton, it’s machine-washable and works with both all-white and color-heavy bathrooms.

Buy: Embellished Carter Shower Curtain, $98

Homebody Mug

Honestly, bury me with my Anthro mugs. This new collection is perfect for homebodies (obviously), and especially homebodies who love fall. I’m craving cups of chai tea and sweater weather just looking at these beauties, and am having a hard time convincing myself not to buy all three.

Buy: Homebody Mug, $14

Fireside Faux Fur Pillow

What’s cozier than faux fur? Make your bed or sofa as comfy as possible with one or two of these fuzzy throws. Available in six solid autumnal colors, they’ll complement any patterned or colorful pillows you already have, plus they’ll contrast nicely with linen or cotton bedding.
