It is about time! Anthropologie just opened their long awaited Vancouver, Canada location on Friday the 13th. I must say it is no less than breathtaking. This is big news for all of our Canadian friends. It's only a hop, skip and a jump away from Seattle as well.

I decided to make a day trip of it and head north to see the space. The store is located at 2912 Granville Street, just a few minutes from downtown.

My favorite feature of the new shop is the main art wall. The whimsical teal creation runs between the double story building, serving as the perfect backdrop for all of the wonderful trinkets Anthro has to offer. Anthropologie inspired me again with the rustic kitchen made of aged wooden crates. All of the unique shelving hung from the ceiling by ropes and was packed with elegant dinnerware.

Before heading back to the States I checked out some local Vancouver shops thanks to the modern urban guide brochure I picked up. It took me to the best boutiques in the city. All in all it was a wonderful day trip but I do have two gems of advice if you are planning a trip yourself. Don't forget your passport and pack a sturdy umbrella!
