Artist to Artist
Amanda, author of The Creative Family, highlighted this great find on her blog. In the book, illustrators include a letter to children about their art, a self-portrait, photograph, and illustration.
Children will recognize a lot of the illustrations from illustrators like Eric Carle, Tomie dePaola, Quentin Blake, Mitsumasa Anno, and Maurice Sendak.
Amanda's kids decided that after reading each section, they would create their own book in the style of that illustrator. What a fun idea, and what precious keepsakes those books will make.
Thanks for the review Amanda!
