Artnet, the online marketplace and price database, has announced that it will launch a 24-hour news service for the art world. Starting in February, the site, which likens the new global service to the "Bloomberg News of the art world," plans to only produce its own content without aggregating from other sources.

In other news, Instagram launches direct messaging, and check out this woodsy mural on a Berlin apartment building. See the headlines after the jump.
