AT Email: Dosa Leather Poufs, The Perfect Small Seat – 3.25.08
March 25, 2008
Christina Kim, the founder of DOSA, lives in a small Richart Neutra building in Los Angeles’s Silverlake neighborhood. Known for her clothing and accessories that sell at over 100 stores in 20 countries, not many know that one of her most popular designs is a small leather pouf, filled with recycled fleece (there seem to be a number of shapes, but one that is sold regularly).
I’ve admired them for years in her store on Thompson Street in NYC, and noticed as they’ve spread to Calypso Home, Auto and lately to the pages of Domino Mag (above) in a home spread for Austrian architect and designer, Andrea Lenardin Madden.
What is great about these strong little seating positions is not only their iridescent raw leather look and feel, but also their compact size that allows you to fit them into any room. They are great as multiples and last forever, getting better with age. They come in white, silver, “silt” and gold, and will run you @ $400.
