Wow, it has been quite a day here at the AT offices. For this eight-week online Cure, I decided to ask folks to sign up so that their decision to step forward and commit to their home would be on record. When you make a resolution it always helps to say it out loud, to "manifest" it. Boy, did we get a huge response. Unlike past Cures which have enlisted a few dozen entrants, we already have 200 folks who have registered officially using our new form and who have said, "Yes I am ready to commit to my Cure!" It is very exciting and I urge you to join us if you want to get something done at home this Spring.

But, I digress. Today I want to close up our Toolbox for Living by adding in a few final items. Two are related to painting and one is simply an essential that I forgot.

  • Small Paint Roller - I don't know the brand name of these, but the picture above shows it well. They're small disposable paint rollers that come with their own mini paint tray as the packaging. They are actually reusable and extremely useful for rolling small areas when it would be crazy to drag out a regualar roller. These will fit right in your box.

  • Wire Parts Brush - These look like wire toothbrushes and I didn't know what they were used for for many years. Turns out they are AWESOME at helping to quickly clean up brushes so that they don't collect latex paint solids. They'll really help you keep your brushes for a long time.

  • Allen Wrenches - Everything from IKEA is put together with Allen wrenches, and although they supply them, I find it hard to keep track of these loose freebies. Having a multi sized Allen wrench on hand will allow you to deal with all those furniture tightening moments without having to find the original they sent you. There are US and Metric sizes. If you get one, get the US.

That's it. That's our finale. Now you are totally equipped to take on the world inside your apartment, condo, loft or house, and you know that your tools are organized and in good shape. Use it well and let me know how it goes. If you want to send me pics of your toolbox and your tips for posting on the site, go for it:
