Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My home is my safe haven. As a Taurus, my home is my castle and I spend a lot of time here, so I’ve made sure it’s extremely cozy, has good lighting, and overall is a place that grounds me when I’m in it. Since it’s an extremely small space, I pay attention to all the small details of each room so I can maximize its potential.
My home is a complete extension of me and my style. From the colors to the art, I feel 100 percent in love with everything I bring into my home. My style is categorized as mostly bohemian and I’m obsessed with plants; my space is covered in them. I’m also really big on texture and patterns, so I layer that in as much as I can. I gravitate toward Moroccan jewel colors of emeralds, peaches, pinks, and blues to create a super-warm and cozy vibe.
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or fewer: A cozy, moody bohemian bungalow.
What is your favorite room and why? Living room. Most of my plants are in here because of the sun, and there is a skylight that shines down in the day. I often take a nap in the sun here. It also overlooks my deck and I can hear the birds chirping. I usually am curled up in the corner of the chaise couch drinking coffee and daydreaming.
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? An absolutely stunning blue vase. And another fave is this fun fade-resistant outdoor rug.
Any advice for creating a home you love? Try not to overplay too much. When I start designing a room I pick one thing to design around and then everything else comes together based on that. For example, I knew I wanted a jade green couch so I designed all my colors and decor off this one piece. Also, always buy the art! If you love it, buy it — you can always find a place for it later or swap something out.
