If there's one thing that needs optimization, it's the dreaded cable squid that's located underneath your desk. When you only have a few devices, it's not a problem. But when you have a plethora of plugged devices, it becomes a lot harder to manage. AT&T will try and help you optimize your plug problem with their new plug, the ZERO.

While the ZERO won't help you organize your power cords, it will certainly try to eliminate the vampire-power needs of all of your phones. It's known that some plugs, even when the devices aren't charging, will continually leech power, which is why we call them vampires.

The ZERO will naturally work for your cellphone, since people have been known to leave their cellphone plugged in for long periods of time. It will certainly help you optimize your charging times and make sure that you aren't wasting any power. When the phone is unplugged, the ZERO shuts itself off.

What's kind of interesting is that the ZERO should be compatible with most phones, meaning that it will work for almost all phones! This probably means that it will come with a few adapters to allow different brands of cellphones to use the same charger. That in itself is enough to help you cut down on those pesky wires. They will be available in May and they will cost the same as current replacement chargers.
