Take a Look at the New Avengers Campus, Opening at Disneyland This Summer
New year, new Disneyland. This summer, Disney’s California Adventure park will unveil a new section dedicated to the Avengers. Called Avengers Campus, the land is currently being built in the spot where A Bug’s Land used to be. (Sorry, Flick and company. We’ll miss you.) According to Disney lore, it will serve as a superhero-recruitment center for the Avengers.

Avengers Campus will be made up of several attractions, including a “ride-through” Spiderman “experience” that looks like it might be similar to Disneyland’s popular Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride/target-shooting game. “The attraction gives you a taste of what it’s like to have actual super powers as you help Spider-Man collect Spider-Bots that have run amok,” describes the Disney Parks Blog.
Other Avengers to be featured on the new campus include Ant-Man and the Wasp, Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy, superheroes from Wakanda and Asgard, and Iron Man. Keep an eye out for them at the Avengers Headquarters, shown below.
For food, visitors to Avengers Campus can go to Pym Kitchen, which the parks blog describes in an intriguingly cryptic way: “Just as Ant-Man and The Wasp use ‘Pym Particles’ to grow and shrink just about anything, Pym Technologies is using the latest innovations to grow and shrink food at this eatery.” Will this be an Alice in Wonderland situation with tiny sodas and enormous cookies?
