What do you do when you retire from your position as the leader of the free world? When you're Barack Obama, you take on a new hobby—television.

That's right. According to the New York Times, the former President and First Lady are in advanced negations to create a series of high profile shows for Netflix and their network of 118 million subscribers around the world.

"President and Mrs. Obama have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire," said former senior adviser Eric Schultz. "Throughout their lives, they have lifted up stories of people whose efforts to make a difference are quietly changing the world for the better. As they consider their future personal plans, they continue to explore new ways to help others tell and share their stories." Sources have said that the content won't be political in nature, but instead will focus on sharing inspirational stories.

Although details have not been finalized, the opportunity gives the former POTUS the creative freedom to share the experiences and viewpoints of people everywhere. The deal offers an "unfiltered method of communication with the public similar to the audiences he already reaches through social media, with 101 million Twitter followers and 55 million people who have liked his Facebook page."

Specifics pertaining to length and format haven't been released, but, the mere thought of Obama being the brains behind a series I can watch commercial free is enough for me.
