Quibi’s New Show “Barkitecture” Is the MTV “Cribs” of Dog Houses
It’s no secret that parents love to spoil their fur children silly, and now there’s a new TV series that celebrates that. Say hello to “Barkitecture,” the show where ridiculously luxe dog houses are made for pups, some with celebrity owners and others that are celebrities themselves.
The new streaming service app Quibi just launched the show this week, which is basically the dog version of MTV “Cribs,” but it includes everything from ideation to construction and the final reveal. It’s hosted by interior designer Delia Kenza and general contractor Tyler Cameron (who is also a well-known “Bachelor” contestant—it needed to be said).
The duo goes to an array of celebrity houses—from Wilmer Valderrama to Lisa Vamperpump and even Norbert the dog—and gets to know the pups who they’ll be designing the homes for through talking to the owners in detail.
For example, they find out that Valderrama’s dog Morrok is a watchdog by nature, and apparently he loves spy movies, too. So Kenza and Cameron set out to create a two-story dog house with an angled profile and bubble windows for maximum visibility. After all, watchdogs gotta watch.
In Quibi fashion, a new episode rolls out every day, with the last one airing on Tuesday, May 19. If you don’t already have the app, you can currently sign up for a 2-week free trial and catch all the episodes.
