If one were to open a time capsule put together by a teen in the 1990s, chances are there would be a hefty collection of fragrances and lotions from Bath & Body Works. The retailer and mall staple has been tapping into that nostalgia by rereleasing formerly retired scents for a limited time, and this year's collection will be sure to bring back many memories of adolescent shopping sprees and high school classrooms.
This year, there are ten classic "retired" scents making a much anticipated comeback: Cucumber Melon, Country Apple, Sun-Ripened Raspberry, Freesia, Plumeria, Pearberry, Juniper Breeze, Brown Sugar & Fig, Sensual Amber, and Dark Kiss. For those that need a refresher on that last one, Dark Kiss is "a seductive blend of black raspberry, burgundy rose & dark vanilla bean." Okay then.
The nostalgic fragrances are in stores now, and are available as fragrance mists, body cream, body lotion, and shower gel. There are additional ways to enjoy summery fave Cucumber Melon, as it is also available as a 3-Wick Candle ($24.50), Wallflower Plug-In Bulb ($6.50), Hand Cream ($4.50), and Hand Soap ($6.50).
And if you're looking to stock up while they're still around, we have good news: Monday, June 5 is when Bath & Body Works launches its month-long Semi-Annual Sale where products will be up to 70 percent off.
There were definitely devoted fans and foes sounding off in the comments of last year's nostalgic returns announcement, so we thought we'd see how you, the readers, rank the retired scents that are back for this year. Feel free to upvote your faves (and downvote the others). And if your scent bae hasn't made a comeback for 2017 (or if you were more of a Victoria's Secret fragrance devotee), tell us what it is in the comments!
