The Dark Knight Must Read Apartment Therapy

I watched the last two Batman flicks last week to gear up for The Dark Knight Rises, director Christopher Nolan's trilogy grand finale. As I was watching I just couldn't help but notice how much of DIY'er Batman (er, Bruce Wayne) is. He must be reading Apartment Therapy!

As the ultimate DIYer, how could the caped crusader not read Apartment Therapy? Turns out, if you look closer, you'll see he really does.

• He paints his bat suit black using our "Spray Paint like a Pro" tips.

• He hacks his cowl together from separate sources. I bet he's using Sugru to merge the pieces together.

•He carves out bat ninja stars (like a boss) — undoubtedly inspired by the hackers and craftsmen we've featured.

•He decks his bat cave out with a crazy flat panel array in hopes of getting featured on a future Tech Tour. If you look closely I think he even uses that DIY-friendly metal connector pipe.

•He has a cool secret room (ok, it's really the batcave) that he enters by playing a few notes on his antique piano — not too different from this, now is it Mr. Wayne?

•And this just in, looks like our editors just got a House Tour submission from The Dark Knight himself. Just as we suspected, he went with the dramatic modern look for his pad. Guess we're going to have to set up an official tour and see what else he's hiding.
