You know it's hot when you turn down your SO's offer to make dinner. Of course, he was offering to make beef bourguignon and as delicious as that sounds, it needs to be in the oven for about two hours. Way too long for the oven to be on while it's 100+ degrees outside.
So, we're boycotting the oven. Even though we're lucky enough to have central A/C, we're not trying to run up our bill by heating the whole house up with the oven. Instead, if we are making garlic bread, pizza or any other staple oven item &mdash we've been using our toaster oven.
There are obviously a few small downfalls to using a toaster oven, but, in this heat &mdash who the hell cares?!
