Become a “Canbassador” and Get Paid to Drink Wine and Travel
Is it your dream to road trip to music festivals all summer, drinking wine and having fun? Well, one company will actually pay you to do just that.
The vintners at Union Wine Co. are searching for a “canbassador” to travel cross country and back with the company’s 1972 Citroën mobile wine bar, hitting up music festivals, store openings, and outdoor events along the way.
The Oregon based company was founded in 2005 and is devoted to the “artistry of making great wine, minus all the fuss.” Which is fitting, since they’re the maker of the ever popular Underwood wine in a can, which comes in Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, rosé, bubbles, and rosé bubbles, of which the new canbassador/marketing assistant will be promoting and serving up. As someone who’s road tripped for work, it’s a pretty fun gig if you can get it. This particular job has some real requirements, though, like being 21 or older (you knew that was coming), able drive a large vehicle with manual transmission and attached trailer, and able to lift 50 lbs (cases of wine aren’t light). It’s also probably good if you like meeting new people, “have a good attitude and appreciation for wine,” and can “think outside the bottle (get it?)” Yep, we get it.
Unlike the Royal Caribbean internship we posted about earlier this year, this position is full time and seasonal (four to six months out of the year), based in Tualatin, OR, and comes with benefits like health insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) matching.
If this sounds like it’s up your alley, you’ve got to hustle—they’re only accepting applications through May 7.
