Bed Bath & Beyond has been trying to think outside the (big) box this year. The retailer’s newest plan to boost its bottom line? Opening a bar and restaurant in Brooklyn.

The New York Post is reporting that the company is planning to open a restaurant serving wine and beer as part of its BEYOND at Liberty View store in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Bay Market Kitchen will be a food hall-style restaurant in a large common area outside the store’s main entrance, and it will serve American cuisine and locally brewed draft beer, wine and growlers. Sources for the Post say it will soft open on Black Friday.

The expansive 120,000-square-foot store will feature “interactive shopping tools” house other Bed Bath & Beyond-owned brands like Cost Plus World Market, Buy Buy Baby, and Face Values, which will have a blow out bar

Earlier this year, Bed Bath & Beyond began testing an annual membership that could replace its famous coupons, and also acquired online decor retailer One Kings Lane.
