Shopping for bedding is secretly kind of a challenge. After all, how hard can it be to find a few pillows and soft sheets? Not that easy, in fact. Creating the right bed setup is key to getting a good night’s sleep, but everyone’s sleep needs are a little different. I’m a hot sleeper, so I need a lightweight duvet and breathable sheets to sleep soundly (a cold room doesn’t hurt either)—but I have friends who sleep on flannel sheets all year round. With so many sleep products on the market, it can be hard to sift through all the options and find the products that are catered to your personal needs.

That’s where Bed Bath & Beyond excels. While browsing the mega retailer’s site, I noticed that they have a Sleep Solutions section with categories for specific needs: The Furnace (aka hot sleepers), The Popsicle (aka cold sleepers), The Overthinker (aka stressed sleepers), and The Knot (aka achy sleepers). It’s a simple tool, but it allows you to cut through all the things you don’t need and get right to what will actually be useful for sleeping better. Check out some of the best finds from each category below.

The Furnace

If you’re a hot sleeper like me, you should focus on pillows and mattress toppers infused with a cooling gel—especially if your bedding has memory foam, which retains heat. Avoid microfiber (I learned this the hard way), and instead go for breathable cotton and down alternative fill.

The Popsicle

The nights are getting cooler and our beds are getting cozier. If you’re prepping for cold winter nights (or just sleep cold in general), the cold sleepers section is for you. It’s full of extra thick comforters, flannel sheets, and heated blankets, as well as heated mattress pads, which I wasn’t aware existed until now.

The Overthinker

If you find yourself tossing and turning and unable to shut off your mind at night, head on over to The Overthinker section, which includes products that are meant to relax. There are weighted blankets galore, as well as lavender-infused bedding and heated products that’ll relax your body.

The Knot

Need plenty of support while you sleep? The achy sleepers section has pillows of every shape and size for every need, including a wide variety of bolster pillows to keep specific parts of your body elevated while you snooze. Plus, there are tons of mattress toppers and travel-sized products.

Allergy Relief

Dealing with a runny nose and itchy eyes is annoying no matter what, but it’s especially bad when you’re trying to sleep. The Allergy Relief section is here to help, with a variety of pillow and mattress covers that are designed to keep the allergens that get on your mattress and pillows at bay.
